Created by hww3. Last updated by hww3, 89 days ago. Version #2.I recently received a font of 72 point Garamond. The font is fairly large, but missing a number of sorts and there's a fair amount of damage. The problem I face is trying to figure out what version of Garamond it is. It's cored type that looks like it came from a Giant caster, but Lanston Monotype didn't produce mats for "American Garamond" in display sizes and it doesn't look like "American Garamond Bold" to me. Anyone have any suggestions? The proof is admittedly, not very good, and the unfortunate case is that the characters I'd normally use to make a determination aren't available to me.
